World Cup winner, Paul Pogba was linked with a transfer move to Spain, where he hoped to join Real Madrid this summer, but as the EPL transfer window now draws to a close, it is now obvious that he might not leaving anytime soon.
Marca reports that Pogba is set to remain at Old Trafford as he is expected to return to training this week. This comes after manager Ole Solskjaer stated that Pogba is going nowhere and would be back to training soon after the win over AC Milan.
Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane was determined to add Pogba to his midfield option at Santiago Bernabeu but Man Utd had challenged the transfer by stating that he was not for sale and that they would only consider selling the 26-year-old midfielder if they get an offer worth £150 million.
Manager Ole Solskjaer doesn’t want the French midfielder to leave after considering the influence he has on the rest of his teammates.
Apart from this, Pogba was ahead of the likes of Indeed, Ander Herrera, Nemanja Matic, Scott McTomiinay, Andreas Pereira and Juan Mata in terms of the highest goalscorers and assists in the midfield last season.
With these, it would be a blow on the Red Devils, who are still trying to get back on their feet to lose Pogba this summer.
