Manchester United are getting closer to agreeing a transfer for Sporting Lisbon sensation Bruno Fernandes according to reports.
Multiple sources across Europe reports that Fernandes agent Miguel Pinho has travelled to England to negotiate with Manchester United and Tottenham over a possible transfer.
Italian tabloid Correio da Manha claims that Sporting Lisbon president Frederico Varandas had informed Pinho to speed up the process of the transfer. There have also been reports that Pinho would listen to offers that propose a solid transfer fee for the player.
Fernandes enjoyed an outstanding campaign netting 32 goals in all competitions. His ability to provide goals and creativity from the midfield makes him highly sought after.
Liverpool are also interested in the midfielder with reports suggesting that the Reds submitted a £40 million bid for the player.
United are believed to be front-runners for his signing as the Old Trafford outfit are ready to pay the £70 million asking price for the attacking midfielder. The club are also willing to offer the 23-year-old a five-year contract worth £200,000 per week.
From all indications United have the lead and we expect the Red Devils to complete this long-awaited transfer.
