Aston Villa are thought to be pushing through their transfer request for Club Brugge star Marvelous Nakamba according to reports from England.
It is reported that the Villans have submitted an initial bid of £10 million for the midfielder but Club Brugge are holding out for £12 million.
The player is thought to be disappointed with how slowly the transfer talks have gone and has gone AWOL
Nakamba is a physical and quick central midfielder capable of playing as a central midfielder or a defensive midfielder. Aston Villa manager Dean Smith has spent close to £100 million on new signings and has focused majorly on the defence .
However, the club are looking to bolster their midfield options with the signing of Nakamba. The player’s refusal to resume training may complicate matters as Club Brugge are looking to file a suit against the player.
Aston Villa had already broken their transfer record by signing Nakamba’s teammate Wesley Moraes from Club Brugge last week.
The good relationship between both teams could be a major factor that allows this transfer to be successful. This looks like one of those protracted transfers and we would be monitoring the developments as they occur.
