Forget Fernandes, Man United in talks to sign £90m-rated midfielder

After Sporting Lisbon midfielder and Portugal international, Bruno Fernandes landed a transfer blow on Man Utd by saying he favours a transfer move to Tottenham Hotspurs over Old Trafford, the Red Devils have returned to pushing for moves for Serbia international, Sergej Millinkovic-Savic from Lazio.

Reports from Italy claim that the Serbian midfielder could be Man Utd fourth signing to add numbers to the midfield that lost a player in Ander Herrera this summer. Also Paul Pogba continues to be linked with a move away from Old Trafford to one of Real Madrid or Juventus, according to Marca via Metro Sport.

Paul Pogba has been linked with a move away from Man Utd since last season after he disclosed that he is open to new challenges.

Marca suggests that the statement by Man Utd that Pogba is on injury could be a pointer indicating  the French international could yet leave for Madrid this summer.

Should Pogba leave Man Utd this summer, the Red Devils are ready to bring in Milinkovic-Savic as his replacement from Lazio. Reports from Spain reveal the Red Devils are already in talks with Lazio, who fixed their transfer price at £83 million.

We will have to wait till Thursday to see whether or not Milinkovic-Savic joins after reportedly agreeing terms with Mn United.

So far, Man Utd have signed three players; James Daniel, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire.
