Granovskaia schedules talks with club chief over transfer of Eden Hazard

Chelsea are resigned to the exit of star player Eden Hazard to Real Madrid and a deal is close to fruition according to reports from Spain.

Spanish tabloid AS claims that Real Madrid vice-president Jose Angel Sanchez is scheduled to meet Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia in London to finalise the move.

The meeting is expected to see both sides finalise the complete terms of the transfer fee with Real Madrid likely to agree to Chelsea’s demand of £120 million fee for the Belgian.

The fee is broken down to a £100 million in transfer plus the remaining £20 million in bonuses. It is understood that Hazard has been given assurances by the Blues that a deal would be agreed for his exit.

Hazard has been the club’s talisman for the past seven seasons, mesmerising Stamford Bridge faithful with his mix of skills and playmaking abilities.

Signed from French side Lille in 2012, the Belgium captain has enjoyed a trophy-laden stint at the London club. He has won the EPL twice, FA Cup, Carabao Cup and two Europa League titles during his time at the club.

His departure would be keenly felt by the club who are unable to sign any players due to the transfer embargo placed on the club by governing body FIFA.
