Liverpool have endured a surprisingly quiet summer as Jurgen Klopp looks satisfied with his current options.
However the German tactician has been urged by former Real Sociedad stopper Alberto Lopez to sign young forward Mikel Oyarzabal. Oyarzabal is considered as one of the promising forward in the Spanish top flight and impressed for Real Sociedad last season.
The 22-year-old scored 13 goals in the League last season and displayed his talent on a consistent basis. Lopez believes that Oyarzabal is the sort of signing that could add value to Liverpool.
“I really rate him. I don’t think he has a lot of time left at Real Sociedad. He has so much talent and I think he could play in a great team like Chelsea and Liverpool,” said Lopez.
The Reds have a complete squad with a front three of Mohammed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino which is arguably the best in Europe.
However, Oyarzabal would be the type of signing that could come of the bench and provide vital qualities to the front line.
The 22-year-old however has a huge release clause of £63.3m which could be a big problem for any potential transfer.
Despite his obvious talents Oyarzabal is not worth that sort of amount and Liverpool could best channel it for a proven forward like Nicolas Pepe.
The Lille forward has been linked to the club in recent weeks and is a better forward than Oyarzabal.
