Man United told to pay £60m for Solskjaer’s No.1 target

The transfer of Crystal Palace ace Aaron Wan-Bissaka move to Manchester United appears to be dragging into the summer. It had been reported that a move was close to being announced this week but it appears that both clubs are still haggling over his value.

The Sun claims that Crystal Palace have informed Manchester United that the defender would only be allowed to leave for an initial fee of £45 million and other added bonuses which would total £60 million.

Manchester United have made the England u21 international their top priority as they look to add quality to the defence this summer.

The current option in the right back position is Ashley Young. Although the former Aston Villa man is reliable in the position, he turns 35 years next season. Wan-Bissaka would add pace and aggressiveness to the fullback position.

The England u21 international was one of the reliable performers for Crystal Palace last season with his defensive and offensive attributes.

However we don’t think that he is worth £60 million, but with the current transfer trend, United have to splash the cash to get quality players. Furthermore, it is normal for clubs to inflate the value of their players when selling to top clubs like Manchester United.

From all indications a transfer deal is close to fruition and it would be no surprise if an announcement is made next week.
