Personal terms agreed, Sergej Milinković-Savić tells teammates he is leaving

Man Utd have received a boost on the chase for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milikovic-Savic who has been linked with a move to Old Trafford since the days of Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho wanted to bring Milinkovic-Savic in as a replacement for Paul Pogba following their issues at Old Trafford then.

However, despite the sack of Mourinho, the Red Devil under new manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are still interested in him and this summer might be their moment.

According to Daily Express, it is reported that the 24-year-old star has told his Lazio teammates that he would seal the transfer. But the report didn’t reveal his next destination.

Several reports from Italy on Tuesday declared that the Red Devils are close to signing the midfielder and that he has agreed to a five-year contract with them.

The only challenges Man Utd are said to be facing is coming from Lazio, who want a higher price than the £71 million bid submitted.

Man Utd want a new midfielder following the departure of Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera last season. Also, the possibility of losing Paul Pogba has also increased their desire for an experienced midfielder.

Apart from Milinkovic-Savic, Man Utd are still working on signing Harry Maguire, Nicolas Pepe, and Bruno Fernandes this summer.
