Prior to the game between Arsenal and Napoli in the preseason tour at Emirate Stadium, a long-time target of the Gunners in the person of Sami Khedira was spotted at the North London on Sunday night.
This comes amidst speculations that 32-year-old Khedira is one of Arsenal wanted midfielders.
Metro UK report that Juventus are ready to let Khedira leave as he would most likely be left out of the team following the arrival of Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot at Turin.
The Gunners wanted to sign the 32-year-old midfielder back in 2014 but the transfer didn’t work out as he remain at Real Madrid for a year before moving to Juventus to date.
Khedira was unable to give his best to the Old Ladies last season as he was held down by injuries and was only able to make 17 appearances.
Well, we don’t think Arsenal need a new midfielder considering the fact that they have already signed Dani Ceballos though on loan.
Arsenal to say the truth have more than enough midfield players.
The midfielder’s age makes the transfer deal a bad one as Khedira doesn’t have much time on his side for a long term due..
What Arsenal need before the close of the transfer window is a new defender.
