A transfer deal is not deemed fit to be true and completed until an official announcement is made.
Well, while we were thinking Manchester United were close to sealing the transfer deal for Portugal international, Bruno Fernandes after reports from Italy disclosed that a transfer bid have been accepted, a new report has surfaced to claim that it is all false.
So far, various news outlet in Italy and England have been claiming Man Utd have seen their bid accepted by Sporting Lisbon, however, no news outlet in Portugal have been able to authenticate the report on their part as they have linked their reports to sources outside their country.
However, the reports from Portugal after getting information from sources at Sporting Lisbon have denied the recent transfer claims.
The report added that any transfer agreement between Man Utd and Sporting will only be revealed after the Portuguese Supertaça.
Sporting were claimed to have said the report are ”completely false”, and that until the Supertaca final between Benfica and Sporting Lisbon is played on Sunday, Sporting will not listen to any offers for Fernandes.
With this, the report finalized that there were no official bid let alone agreement between Man Utd and Lisbon for Fernandes.
Man Utd have been reported to be interested in the Portugal international as a replacement for Paul Pogba.
But with this report from Portugal, the Man United would have to patient as events unfold in coming days.
