Transfer target exempted from kit launch, Arsenal in talks to seal move

Arsenal have been given a huge boost in their pursuit of Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha as the Eagles launched their 2019/20 kit without featuring the forward.

Zaha has been the subject of transfer rumours in the past few weeks with several speculations circulating about his future. The Ivory Coast international is said to be keen on making the move to the Emirates stadium.

Palace launched their jersey today and there was a huge surprise as Zaha was conspicuously absent in the released photos. Zaha is viewed as the golden boy at Selhurst Park and his absence speaks volume about his current state of mind regarding a summer exit.

Palace are demanding £80 million for the former Manchester United forward as they seek to get a premium fee for his services. Arsenal are caught up in a dilemma as this is almost double their projected transfer kitty of £45 million.

Zaha has also appealed to the club that the valuation should be reduced and the Gunners are reportedly preparing to offer some players to sweeten the deal.

Zaha is highly rated in the Premier League and is seen as a forward that could bring a new dimension to the North London club’s attack.

A new offer is expected from the club in the coming days.
